The Bad Boy Running Podcast

Running is great, so why aren't the podcasts? Bad Boy Running is a podcast for runners who are bored of the dull and dry podcasts currently on offer. Hosted by friends Jody Raynsford and David Hellard, both running journalists, bloggers and lovable idiots, the show features the conversations they'd have in the pub focusing as much on the camaraderie and social side of the sport as the technical.

Hello Do-Badders!

Today Jody and David discuss everything that has been going on on the Facebook Group and also branch out into other news articles they've picked up over the last couple of weeks.

In this Episode Jody tells us that, much to David's surprise, he has been making overtures with Pato's agents.

We hear from Jody's wife, Libby, about her recent running adventures.

There's news of a free entry for a Do-Badder place for the Red Bull Steeple Chase!

Simply join the Bad Boy Running Podcast Facebook Group and suggest what you would do at the event which would make your race spectacularly Bad Boy.

We give our respect to Andy Parry and Russell Banks for their incredible alcohol-related running performances.

David updates us on runners who may or may not have cheated.

Welcome back Do-badders! This week’s episode is an array of things but the main point for discussion will be the Beer Lovers' Marathon.

The guys start by calling for ideas for an innovative new theme song. Things then move on to talk of a t-shirt update, a request for race calendar suggestions, and David's rather short list of 'sponsors'.

The rest of the Podcast obviously includes vivid descriptions of the Beer Lovers' Marathon highlights such as David's unusually slow race time and over-indulgence (if there is such a thing) of Belgian's finest brews.

Once you're done listening, join the conversation in the Facebook group! Simply search Bad Boy Running on Facebook, click join, and we'll add you in!

Similarly you can e-mail letters@badboyrunning.com with any points for discussion or you can follow us on Twitter, David is @davidhellard and Jody is @UltrarunnerJody and we are now @BadBoyRunning1

  • Why falling during races is clearly something only winners do.
  • David's bold new idea for a publication which he requires the help of the Do-Badders for.
  • Book reviews and how the Do-Badders should fight pretentiousness in every environment they encounter.
  • A new competition for the Bad Boy Running Facebook Group.
  • LIVE (ahem) Running Award coverage.
  • A journalist is named as an official Bad Boy Running Enemy.
  • The guys weigh in on the recent Parkrun pay debacle.
