When I say themes, I use it in the loosest possible sense as everything is discussed really. Special Forces Hell Week is back on so that requires a brief analysis, we discover that David hates Seinfeld, and, rather generously, the guys spend about 20 minutes plugging other podcasts.
When they get around to discussing marathon training, they are actually quite helpful. What is the Maffetone method? What should you be eating? How many miles should you be logging before that upcoming spring marathon? Rules are debunked and approved in this genuinely quite useful episode.
